Vesa was starting his career in the late 1990s working for ABB and Schneider Electric Finland during which he also consulted with small scale Finnish power plant manufacturers. He aimed to develop a technology to produce electricity from any possible source, even to the extent of being economically viable with smaller scale systems.
In September 2010 Vesa quit his day job and chose to dedicate his efforts entirely to Nocart. Before the end of 2011 the first 30 kW off-grid Power Management Unit was delivered to a Finnish bioenergy research and development centre.
Time passed and single off-grid/on-grid units were being delivered. With a little help from outside Nocart’s product offering was written in an understandable form with a hint of emotional charge which enabled the beginning of more serious sales operations.
After intense workload and passed obstacles things started to turn for better in 2013 along with focusing on developing countries’ markets. First substantial letter of intent was signed in Nepal during spring. Today Nocart has delivered more than 200 million euros worth of products globally.
The journey from a shy young man out of periphery into a globetrotting CEO has been challenging but rewarding. Without risk-taking and believing oneself Nocart’s story would have come to an end years ago. Instead markets have realized the value and significance of Nocart’s services. It is something no one else is offering.
